It would be a shame to spend all your time within the park, although it would be easily done with plenty of fun activities and entertainment for all ages, but a short drive away you can see the wonders of the Lake District, so plan a couple of day trips to visit all those beauty spots and drive through some wonderful countryside with outstanding views.

Accommodation at Lakeland
Lakeland Leisure Park, on the edge of Grange‑over‑Sands in Cumbria’s Lake District, offers a mix of caravan and lodge accommodation all set in a scenic, flat landscape with a stunning lake.
There’s a choice of 2 or 3 bedroom units with sleeping up to 8 and a choice of grades from Saver to Gold. Dogs are welcome and special pet-friendly caravans are available.
If you want a prime location next to the Lake choose either a Diamond Lodge or Signature Gold caravan.
Each type of accommodation has heating, TV, microwave, fridge, bed linen and a shower. The premium lodges also have dishwashers, 2 toilets, decking, 2 TVs and luxury furnishings.
Waterfoot Park is an ideal spot for a Lake District family holiday. It not only overlooks Ullswater Lake but is nestled within ancient woodland, which , if you’re lucky enough, you will spot some red squirrels.
The site is well equipped with all the necessary facilities – on site shop, laundry and washing up area and a shower and toilet block. The accommodation ranges from touring pitches for caravans, motor homes etc, to self catering apartments & cottages with a few glamping pods on site – NB tents are not allowed.
There’s the Mansion House bar and lounge which has a pool table, books, etc and children’s playground and small football pitch.
